Photographer's Note
This is the main road into Flinders Chase NP on Kangaroo Island. The undulating look comes from the sand hills under the vegetation.
The road is just near where I took the Koala photo that I posted a couple of days ago. I
I saw a photo recently of this road after the Kangaroo Island fires - this area was totally burnt out - a tragedy.
Best in the large view.

Hello Ian, Impressive view of this road that looks like a giant snake. Interesting trees near the road. When all this is burnt now, what about koalas? The answer is very sad probably.
Have a nice weekend

Hi Ian,
fantastic composition with the line or rather curve stretching to infinity. It leads our eye to the centre of the image. Brilliant use of the motif of the road. The green vegetation lovely decorates the road. Grayish vegetation around indicates that the fires may be happening occasionally there I suppose.
Such a sad story to read, your photo has now quite a historical value!
The whole collection on TE is so valuable in my opinion because it also allows travel in time... But it is burning out as well :(
Excellent work,

Hello Ian,
I imagine it could be fun to go this way in a very speedy car. But it's quite fun just to watch the photo of this beautifully undulating and slightly curving road. It's a well composed photo with the white line in the middle perfectly placed at the corner. The colours were very attractive... until recently.

Gert

Hello Ian!
A very appealing image, and your choice of a square format was right. Nevertheless, I can understand that sand hills make a street go up and down.
But why sway to and fro?

Hi Ian, well seen and executed shot of this bendy road forming a good diagonal across the frame with a nicely placed car in the distance. The square format works well. Did you crop road from the foreground? Cheers, steve

Hi Ian.
Congrats on this one. I like it very much. The road looks like a giant snake, creating a nice visual effect. Pity, after the devastating bush-fire the picture must look totally different today. No worries, after the heatwave is over the wet season will take over and restore a new life. TFS!!!

Hello Ian,
It is a shame that this area is now all burnt out. Will these fires ever stop? The undulating road looks mesmerising. 👍🏻👍🏻

Hello IAn ,
What a great capture of the sinuous-ondulating road in the bush ! Stunning , too , to see the contrast between the vibrant greenery of the trees and the dry vegetation .

Hi Ian
100 mm is more than welcome. I like the undulating road dipping and twising in every direction. A shame about the recent fires. From this shot looks like a fire went through part of this scene several years earlier. Tfs.

Hello Ian,
This is a fascinating landscape. The undulating road looks like a roller-coaster, and I like the depth in this scene. Of course knowing all the damage caused by the fires is very sad, especially for all the animals...

Hi Ian
easy to see why other TE members have been enjoying this one, its such a eye catcher. this is really good. Sad to hear though the view is much different now, I don't even want to think about how many lives are lost not only for people but for the animals too. This is a wow shot for me!
cheers

The road seems very steep and vertigo-inducing but it makes me want to be there. It also serves as a great compositional tool to lead the viewer's eye across the photo, into the distance.
Have a nice week
