Photographer's Note

Directly out in front of El Nido is Cadlao Island, one of the most beautiful in the Bacuit Archipelago. The dark shadows in the partly transparent water are coral reefs. Not great for walking on barefoot but good for snorkelling. The white sandy beach is good anytime. There is a little thatched hut underneath the coconut trees. Perhaps they store the ripe coconuts and transport them by boat to the town market? Anyway I had a nice Robinson Crusoe moment here. There was only me and 4 others on the boat approaching the deserted beach, which we had all to ourselves.
