Photographer's Note

Lately in the commercial harbour of Cagliari, in the place where in the past landed the Ferry-boats which linked Sardinia to the Continent, a new marina for maxi yachts has been built.
Among the first boats which moored to the newly laid pontoons you can see the Norwegian three-masted schooner Den Store Bjørn.

In the workshop you can see another view of the harbour

Den Store Bjørn:

Date of launch 1902
Place of launch -
Type 3-masted wooden schooner
GRT 169
Length 37.5 m (123.0 ft)
Beam 7.0 m (23.0 ft)
Draft 4.0 m (13.0 ft)
