Photographer's Note
Summer is going out and first leaves are yellow, red or brown, also those of water plants - but this single bloom compensates this feeling of end of summer, of beginning autumn - for some moments ...
I think, even it's name "Nymphéa" expresses that it must be something special, something beautiful, something very beautiful ...
My photo was taken at a pond near Burgdorf, Lower Saxony.

Yes Frank, Summer is going out, and here in Luxemburg the temperature has dropped dramatically and it is raining in a long and steady drizzle. Forunately you offer us this aftermath of summer to warm our earts.
Greetings from Luxemburg

Guten Tag Frank,
The calm on the border of the retiring summer. Nenuphar, called otherwise with the water lily in the environment of erubescent leaves inevitably announces the arrival of the autumn. These beautiful flowers adorned once crystalline waters of my brook Welna in regions of Janowiec Wlpk (Wielkopolska), where I gave birth and I was equal. Beauties and the nostalgic photograph.
Best regards from autumnal Poznan,
Jurek

Hallo Frank,

Hello Frank,
A fine composition with an interesting sense of pending decay as autumn takes over from summer. I like the diagonal placing of the foreground leaf pads and the position of the single flower. Clarity is superb.

Hi Frank. I smell some sadness in your picture and in your note. End of summer, this plant looks like dying but still shoots a flower in the last effort. Not true, water lily is just going "to bed" for winter to surprise everybody with beauty next year.
Nice you have avoided too much reflections in the water, little sparkle of sun and a flower in a "mirror".
Thanks for heart catching photo.

Hallo lieber Frank,
Mal 'was anders.

Frank, your collection is both impressive and intriguing. But this is my favourite. Great composition and it conveys an interesting question.. What lurks in the dark waters?
Thanks for a great display.
