Photographer's Note

The main place I wanted to visit during my trip to Australia was Uluru National Park, formerly known as Ayers Rock. I knew of course the view of the whole red rock, but to be close to it was also great experience. We went for a three days trip from Alice springs. It may seem close to Alice, but it is almost 500 km far. it was clear sky so you can imagine the stars above in the night, when there were no lights around. And we slept in swags, it is without tents. it was terrific!
it is allowed to climb Uluru but the Aboriginal who are the owners, ask not to do so because for them it is the most holy place. In our group all the people respected it. We made wonderful walk around the rock, about 10 km.
