Photographer's Note

A trip on the Catemaco's Lake. This part of the south east of Mexico, in Veracruz is a Volcano's Place with a Tropical Vegetation.
Catemaco is both a city and a county in
south east Veracruz in east central
Mexico within the volcanic massif Sierra
de Los Tuxtlas, incorporating both Laguna
Catemaco, Laguna Sontecomapan and a
section of the Los Tuxtlas Biosphere
preserve.
The city of Catemaco nestles against Lake Catemaco at 340 meters (1,115 feet), surrounded by numerous taller volcanic peaks. To the north, Laguna Sontecomapan occupies a large flood plain and joins the gulf at La Barra de Sontecomapan, Catemaco´s most accessible beach.

Its a nice pone, I think the atmosphere here is prety god, backlighting was used successfully and I think the workshop by jaap does a great job of resolving the darkness issue which was a bit of a weakness of the original. Still a nice composition though.

La foto es soberbia Jerôme ! Ese lugar ha sido recreado tantas y tantas veces en alguna de las novelas de mi escritor mexicano favorito , Carlos Fuentes(sobretodo en "Los años con Laura Díaz " )

La imagen transmite una paz fabulosa que eriza el alma , la textura de las aguas onduladas y ese horizonte fantástico !
