Photographer's Note

The Chinese district of Montreal is relatively small but remains interesting to visit. The best way of visiting this part of Montreal east to foot. Indeed, the principal street of the Chinese district is pedestrian (street Gauchetière which is closed with the traffic).Il has several restaurants there on the street Gauchetière and certain souvenir shops. The street St-Laurent in the south of Rene-Lévesque is also interesting for his restaurants and its small Asian markets. You should read the section visits with foot for further information. Another of the streets principal of the Chinese district is the St-Laurent boulevard: it is there that you will find the greatest concentration of shops and small Asian markets. For further information on chinatown, including a short history of the district, should visit the site of the town of Montreal or the site Tourisme Montreal to you. Streets surrounding the Chinese district * St-Domenica in the east * Jeanne-Mance in the west * the boulevard Rene Lévesque in north * the City-Marie motorway in the south
