Photographer's Note

Today I switched my DV camera for my picture cam. I went to the 'Tamtam' at the Mount-Royal and i took about 120 pictures. When i saw those dancers imitating a sort of fight (dancing almost like martial art) I decided to try my sequential mode on the camera. Wow! this is fast at 5 full frames in 1 sec. The camera was in auto mode (I was in mood for auto-mode, don't ask why!!!)
As you noticed, the torso is twisted and only one hand is touching the floor.

I only cropped and reduce the resolution for posting.
The file was tooked as a 3MP Normal compression
(I don't noticed a major difference between Normal, Fine and tiff file at this resolution, unless you want an 8X10)

Hey, you captured a really great moment! I suppose it was not easy because the movement must have been pretty fast.

Only one suggestion - cut out the girls on the left and right and you'll have a perfect subject with no distractions!

Anyway, I still think it's a good shot! And hopefully I'll get to see Tamtam for myself soon!!!!! - I hear MTL is a great town for pictures! :)

THIS IS NOT A DANCE, THIS IS CAPOEIRA AND IN GREAT QUALITY!!!! They are capoeiristas from Brazilian Scholl of Capoeira, that is my scholl, my group!!! They don't dance, they fight. I do appriciate to see the other photos, I'll be happy if you send me some, my e-mail is [email protected] ... Thanks for sharing, is great to see that my group of capoeira has reached all over the world. I'm a little suspect to talk about this photo but for me it's perfect. Great job.

Great photo! It really conveys the energies in this scene, and shows just how amazingly flexible the girl is.
