Photographer's Note

There is something quite inspiring about fresh snow: the white blanket just begs for a camera (now that I am "grown-up"). When my children were growing up, it begged for snow angels and when I was younger still, it inspired snowball fights and snow forts.
This winter, we've had relatively little snow, so the few good snowfalls we've had have been welcome. And though I might complain about the cold for a while, I am happy to look back on the results.
And we are glad for the snowfall that will melt in the spring, the means to water our trees and flowers, the replenishment of our water tables.
Snow is the promise of life too: life in waiting ... ... ...
Tech: Handheld camera; jpg adjusted in levels; trees lightly dodged to bring out the texture of the branches; cropped top and bottom, resized and sharpened
