Photographer's Note
Once again, another shot from the Vancouver TE Meet. The only modification here was a crop and changing the auto white balance to "cloudy" which really warms it up a bit.

Well Donald I think this is good use of your camera's function settings. Nicely done like this and I cannot see any glare spots with the sunlight shining into the scene. I think the geese arranged in the lower part of the frame really add a wonderful beauty to this frame. Nice approach and good results Don!

Hi Donald,
Excellent shot with beautiful sunset colours. I love the ducks in the foreground leading to the view over the city and the harbour! The sun is captured well here as well! Great composition and well captured!

Don,
Nice shot! The ducks in silhouette really make the shot. I am interested how you and I seem to have ended up with similar colour, while the other guys have more blue or orange. I had my camera set to 5600 degrees (daylight), but I would have liked warmer if I had thought of the cloudy setting! Well done.
Take care,
Andrew.

Bonjour Donald,
Une très belle prise de vue... qui me permet d'admirer à nouveau les outardes que j'ai tant photographiées lors de précédents séjours au QUEBEC.
Le PP est bon, j'apprécie ces tons chauds.
Excellente journée

Hi Donald. I’m guessing they are Canada geese ;). Excellent scene, well captured. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Donald,
This is a lovely sunset scene. I like that it is mostly just two colours. The inclusion of the ducks adds a lot of interest to the photo. Well done.
Cheers,
Debbie

Hi Don,
You did well to capture the fine light here on the water, while controlling the glare. You shot at a decisive moment, catching the sun's partially filtered rays near the building, with the geese nicely framing the foreground. I really enjoyed meeting you at the TE meet. All the best of the season.

Ha! You say I beat you to the punch, but I have a very similar shot to this that you beat me to posting! Great shot, with the ducks in the foreground and the sun just peaking over the buildings, creating a nice near/far dynamic. Well done!

I love how the ducks and a natural element to an almost too industrial photo.
The colouring is very unique. I appreciate that you shared the technique with us. Thanks.
