The walk to Consolation Lake (my photo yesterday) started near Moraine Lake. The lake gets its name from the moraines at one end of the lake.
For anyone who doesn't know what a moraine is - it is debris (mainly rocks) left by glaciers as they retreat. This one also has lots of logs washed down and dumped on the rocky moraine.
