Photographer's Note
I don't normally photograph trees because I think it takes a pretty unique tree to be worthwhile photographing, and even then- I think it's got to be a pretty amazing shot to make it stand out from the rest...
With that being said, I don't think there's anything too special about this shot- however I do find these resilient coastal trees pretty impressive. Like living monoliths, they stand the test of time against the harsh conditions along the coast. Lashed with high winds, rain, and the corrosive effects of sea-spray they endure and thrive. I love the weathered looks of them with their sparse greenery and rugged looking skeleton.
