Photographer's Note
Spring snow storms are common in the Calgary area, so as seen here, these prairie crocuses got a very cold surprise with one of the passing storms. I was out early and found these little rascals trying to recover from the cold. Enjoy.

Hi, Gerald.
Lovely shot, on top of those delicate colors there's something dreamy in it, like a gentle sweeping motion, something that catches the onlooker at first sight. TFS! Have a nice day, I'll be seeing you.

hi Gerald,
I like a lot this delicate photo (even if it reminds me how long the winter was this year, bbrrrr....). I agree with Fulvio about the dreamy feeling and sweeping motion, reminds me of the Waltz of the Flowers :)
best,
Kristine

Beautifully captured... the composition highlighting the brown grasses, lavender flowers and snow work well together.

Oh the poor things, I know exactly how they feel....brrr. This is the worst spring I can remember. The detail in this picture is great, just as if I'm right there. TFS

Hi Gerald
Well seen. Perhaps a tad over exposed but a fine trio nevertheless.

Bonjour Gerald,
voici le symbôle de la fin de l'hiver et de l'arrivée du printemps. Pas toujours facile de photographier la blancheur violente de la neige dans toutes ses nuances, je trouve qu'ici, c'est un exploit de précision d'exposition.
Simple et très joli.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hi Gerald
Nice catch of the windblown lavender crocusses. Where's the Chinook, when you need it! Good dof & subtle colour. Have a great weekend!

Hi, Gerald. I am always amazed by the resistance of flowers to the cold. But your picture gives good details and shows that they have good protection. The DOF is very good here and makes the crocuses stand out well against the snow.
Have a nice weekend,
Philipppe

Hi Gerald,
What a will for life for those little buddies!:) Very expressive photo,I think.
I don`t agree about the photo being overexposed. The main subject here are the flowers and they have to be properly exposed, even overexposed a tad because this works better for flowers. The rest; who cares about the snow? I don`t...
Thanks for sharing,
Nelu

Hello Gerald!
Very impressive "detail" fantastic capture of nature photography, and somehow a photo that could be a symbol of great "courage". The "central" composition works perfectly well, excellent light managment, beautiful colours! Congratulations!

Long time no speak Gerald!
I'm glad these flowers made it past the moderators let alond the cold snow! The colors here are rich and vibrant, the sharpness is spot on and the DOF really seperates them well from the backdrop.
Nice work Gerald!
