Photographer's Note
From the TE Vancouver meet on Dec. 17th, 2006. A beautiful dawn spent with some fellow TE photographers. Another take on this photo where, with the encouragement of Cormac, I have isolated the more interesting part of the frame.
Hope you like it.

Hello Andrew ... of course I have to comment on this ... as a "co-pilot" (I am fortunate to have my pilot in the house ...). This is such a super catch. I love the light, the sailing boats, the little aircraft approaching. Of course I like it ... super nice. Have a great day (in Zurich it is night), Barbara.

Hi Andrew
Lovely composition with lots of interesting going from the ducks to the masts and the seaplane well placed in the clouds. I like the reddish sky in the background which helps give depth.
Regards
Nikki

Hello Andrew,
Wow! This is nothing short of spectacular. You've hit a homerun with sunset over the marina, complemented by the bush pilot bringing his plane in, and the ducks swimming around unperturbed. I love this shot. (I was taking a break from grading tests, when I came across this astonishing photo.) By the way, in writing a note, how do you get an "active" site, such as your entry, "this photo." Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Andrew,
Another amazing shot of that same scene. I do like the vertical version very much as well! The ducks in the foreground, the reflection on the plane and the whole view is stunning! Great composition with good lighting and beautiful colours! Well done, Andrew!
Greetings,
Ann

Hi Andrew - great idea to just use this part of the frame (oops, didn't mean to pat myself on the back!). I think this is a stronger composition, with the birds and the plane creating an interesting balance with each other. I like the shimmer in the water too, which gives this a very lifelike appearance. Great work!

Well Good Evening Boots. I like your complimentary vertical portrayal of the water front. You managed to break up the frame with some interesting details including the descending plane above and the geese below. Very good timing capture. Thanks for sharing..
Cheers!

Andrew, I have to admit that I am bit jealous that you have met all those guys during your meeting, however this beautiful photo definitely compensates it :-) Absolutely stunning colors at just great moment. Well done. Lucie
