Photographer's Note
Met up this morning with fellow TrekEarthers Dan Walsh "DANIELWALSH", Paul Enns "PJE", John Cherrington "JOHN_C", Alvin Brown "CORMAC", and Don Griesdale "VESALIUS" for a walk on the seawall with a great quantity of camera equipment. I was conspicuous among them, being the only one without an SLR and sheepishly balancing my point-and-shoot on my knee. I had a good chance to look at all their gear, though, and figure out what camera I will buy now!
It was very nice to meet in person some great photographers who turned out to be great people too.
Alright, guys... stop looking for the recycle bin...

Bonjour Andrew,
Très belle image en contrejour, avec ce beau ciel menaçant, c'est super bien fait.
J'aime beaucoup.
Amicalement.

Hi Andrew. I think this area of Vancouver is going to be very well known in the next few days. I like the way you captured this plane descending into the bay. Very nicely done. Please see the workshop for shadow highlight details adjustment. Cheers Andrew. Now are you thinking of getting a DSLR? If you do I hope you stay in the Canon club!!! Cheers.. Paul

Hi Andrew
You had a good pOV here and a well balanced shot with the ducks in the lower left, filling that space and the luck to have the airplane at the right place. The way you framed this minimize the portion of overexposed sky.
Do not fell bad because you have a compact, you are doing a great job with it.
Havea good week

Hi Andrew,
For a point and shoot you captured this rather well. The plane and the ducks enhance and there are good silhouettes provided by the buildings and masts. I really enjoyed meeting you at today's first ever Vancouver TE meet. All the best...later.

Hi Andrew - nice shot of the harbour, and what I like the best is that plane coming in. The light was quite extreme, but you did a good job with it. When I get some time I might try a workshop with this, cropping to concentrate on the left half of the picture, which is the more interesting part. It was great meeting you on Sunday and I hope I see a lot more of your photos!

Hello Andrew,
Great shot and the colours are so beautiful! I love the 3 ducks and the float plane which really add to this scene! Too bad I had to miss out (darn work, anyways!), but it looks like you guys had an awesome time! Hopefully there will be another TE meeting!
Great compositon and great work, Andrew!
Greetings,
Ann
