Photographer's Note
Ive been wanting to take photos from this location for a long time...
This photo was taken from the deck of the Granville Street Bridge. Its not easy to access from a pedestrian point of view, so i was happy to cross it.
Usually i photograph high rise condos, but these are low rise condos in Granville Island - a very expensive area to live. The curve of the waterline caught my attention .
Hope you enjoy this view
Cheers

Hi Craig, today's neighbour!
Good high POV and an eye catching waterline forming a diagonal in the frame. I like the luminosity of the blue sky reflecting in the water...

Hi Craig,
I can see that this is an expensive area, sea view always increases prices in big cities. To be honest, I think that old houses have more charm than new as these.
It is like you say, the curved waterline is very cool and draws all the attention in this shot. The woman in the red jacket probably have a nice walk in the soft autumn sun! Fine colors and light,Tfs!
Have a nice weekend.

Hi Craig,
Well seen panoramic detail, a picturesque area. I like the deep blue and the sunlight in that cold day. But I don't see any pet bottles along the shore :P.
Have a nice day.

Hi McCraig, how's things? Yes, the curve of the waterline is very attractive and certainly eye-catching, as is the luminous blue "pond" and the line of stick things in the water. i like the strong colours, sharpness and reflections. Again, the image seems "smaller" than usual" - not sure of the reason, but it's very neat. TFS...enjoy the weekend, Lisa

Bonjour Craig
Ce qui frappa immédiatement dans ta composition ce sont les courbes qui suivent le plan d'eau, les souleurs très vives de l'automne et la lumière qui illumine le tout.

Hi Craig,
A lovely composition as a result of your good choice of the various elements - the condos; the trees; the wateredge and those poles in the water. They are all like a percussion team radiating different wavelengths which are pleasing to our eyes. The fantastic blue binds them together beautifully. I am sure many others would have stopped and enjoy this scene. If I do happen to be in Vancouver I am certain to take a shot of this scene too!!!
An enjoyable winter ahead. Regards.

Good Morning Craig,
The curving waterline makes a most attractive separating line for your thirds composition. There is a lovely contrast, both visually and structurally, between the repeating vertical buildings to the left and the flat, blue calm of the water. The posts are both attractive and useful to your composition.
As always, a fine, sharp exposure.
Have a good Sunday,
Bev :-)

Hi Craig,
great POV and a fantastic idea for a very interesting geometrically composition. The curves are very nice and luckily the sky was blue so its reflection is pleasantly dark blue.
Very well done,

Hello Craig,
A classy area indeed, one can see that from the setting!
This is a special autumn atmosphere, still with some foliage on the trees but also a touch of snow on the ground...
The intense blue sky is nicely reflected on this lovely November day..!
Greetings,

Hi Craig,
Lovely shapes and lines to this modern architecture and the curving banks of the small lake.
The yellow poles look very impressive reflecting in the still deep blue water.
Regards, Tom
