"West Coast Wave", a photo from British Columbia, Western

Photographer's Note

Not the biggest of waves t be found on the coast, but it just wasn't one of those stormy days, just rain showers and low cloud cover...

Another shot from Vancouver Islands west coast while photographing with Paul Enns (PJE).

This could be mistaken for B&W (as was my last shot), but this one IS color- again, it was just a drab and dreary day on the coast- but still very enjoyable.

I like the atmosphere you captured in this monochrome seascape Dan, and you've put the image together very well. I like the way the foreground rocks lead in from the bottom-left corner, and the layers of rocks, surf, more rocks, wave and horizon give a good feeling of depth.
A simple and effective shot, good work.

The wave is well placed in this scene and you caught it with the wind whipping the froth. A quintessential west coast day for sure.

It's hard to believe that this is actually colour, there is so little natural saturation. I guess this says something about how grey and dull it can get. Good timing to catch this when the wave is breaking - nice work!

Belle photo NB de cette mer agitée, ces rochers qui sont battus par ces vagues qui les submergent et donne un bel effet. Bonne netteté et beaucoups de beaux détails intéressant.

Dan I really do like this photo with the wind blowing over the waves creating the alive feel and appeal. Excellent zoom capture to say the least. Thanks for sharing!....it really was a fun filled day!

Hi Dan,

This is a gorgeous shot with the amazing capture of the movement of the wave splashing down. I love this kind of light as it seems to bring out some beautiful details. You don't always need the sun for beautiful photos! Great quality and beautiful details. Excellent work, Dan!
