Hi Dan,
It is a nice close-up shot with focus on the starfish and DOF. I like view of pinkish starfish surrounded by the darker mussels.

Hi Dan:

Cool effect here. The large aperture and blurred foreground/background make it look like the mussels around the starfish are spinning in a circle. So in a case like this, the central placement of the starfish works well. Great job.
