This is a typical image for K-Country (Kananaskis Country,a land of wilderness and home to several provincial parks,at about one hour drive from Calgary.
This particular image is an HDR but although much of the shots I took at that location look similar,for many of them I used just the overexposed frame (+2 stops) and lowered the exposure in Lightroom, doubled by the use of the local adjustment brush.
I find extremely interesting how you can recover even two stops of overexposure in the raw converter and the benefit is that the final image is noise free.
Shooting this way is called "exposure to the right". Sometimes it works very well, sometimes not quite and this is the reason for I shoot all my landscape photos using the exposure bracketing (-2,0,+2).
