Photographer's Note
Following yesterday's posting of the mountain stairway to a viewpoint of the Montmorency falls, here are the actual falls themselves. You can see the height of these falls by looking at the miniscule figures of people near the base ofo the falls and on the unusual snow hill nearby. The snow hill is probably formed by the winds causing the snow to swirl and pile up under the falls...(we get a miniature version of this on our back deck - the conical snow pile, I mean). Also the spray from the waterfall itself contributes to forming this small mountain at the base.
The falls are 83 metres in height which is 30 metres higher than Niagara Falls, but of course they are much narrower. Still very impressive when you stand at the base.

Very impressive picture of the Montmorency's falls which is different from those published in the tourist's brochures.
The dark color (no omnipresent blue) obtained with the exposure at f/6.3, 1/1250 is quite impressive.
Viewer could not and cannot do a better picture from the nearby railway bridge.

Really impressive, Joan; I like this perspective with the inclusion of the people, which help us to have a better sense of the dimensions of these waterfalls. Very good colours and POV and a good composition!
Cheers
Paulo
