Photographer's Note
Two large bronze satirical sculptures made by the artist Marc André Jacques Fortier are placed in front of 500 Place d'Armes building.
This one shows a man with a condescending, swaying air, facing the Church of Our Lady, carrying a small English dog. (the other, sadly I didn't saw it is a woman carryng a french dog).
Born in Montreal in 1961, Marc André Jacques Fortier has been a self-taught artist since 1986. His paints and sculptors has participated in various exhibitions in Canada and abroad.

Hi Andre
I wonder what the story behind this sculpture is, why is he mocking or making fun...hmmm. and the fact he's facing the church is very interesting indeed. excellent post for TE, Never seen this sculpture from Montreal before. cheers
