Photographer's Note
Just regular rainy afternoon when everybody tries to get back from work. Rain, everything is gray, the traffic is very slow, and no one notices how clean and shiny everything becomes...

It's extremely difficult to get a decent photo with the rain: I think you succeded very well. The lights of the cars cheer up the gloomy sky, and the diagonal direction of the road makes it dinamic. A wise composition.

Very nice shot! I like the sharpness and clarity, which perhaps comes from everything being, as you say, everything becoming clean and shiny in the rain (and I always notice. I like how the rain really brings the green out, and makes greens very vibrant, which you have also captured well). Speaking of that, though, I find the foreground and right side of the photo to be quite clear, but the side of the Gardiner and the dome of that thing in The Ex are not quite so sharp.
Funny with traffic how the Gardiner (the expressway on the left of the photo for those of you not familiar with Toronto) is moving pretty well while the Lakeshore (the road on the right), which generally handles the overflow when the Gardiner is jammed, is nearly at a stand-still...
