Photographer's Note

When I was a Toronto teenager, Yonge Street was THE place to go. All the grooviest hair salons, clothes stores, head shops, and especially other young people were to be found there. Today it's come down a lot in popularity and glamour. It's not even the world's longest street anymore (as the Guiness Book of World Records once credited it). But it's still the major north-south Toronto artery, and one of the two streets which form the city's central intersection, and every day people rush along it to the many places it leads them.
