Photographer's Note

Boğazkale (Gorge Fortress) is a small Turkish town adjacent to the ruined Hittite city of Hattusa. Only the stone foundations remain of the ancient civilisation. But the Museum is excellent and well worth the trip from Ankara. The Hotel Asikoglu is around €20 a night if you wish to stay longer and explore the ruins more thoroughly in the morning, than the brief time allocated to tour buses, which is what I did. It's also possible to hire a taxi to drive you around the major sites and come back the following day to those that interest you.
