One of the few historic relics saved from inundation was this Islamic Tomb. Apparently the Turkish Government doesn't consider the Neolithic, Roman & Byzantine Monuments as important.

It weighs 1,100 tons & dates from the 15th century. A Korean firm successfully relocated it on 12 May 2017. I might load a workshop showing a more conventional view. The rising waters of the Ilisu Dam will flood the town beneath many metres of water.
