Syrian Girl, a photo from Diyarbakir, Southern East Anatolia

Photographer's Note

Last months I preferred to travel eastern and south eastern part of Turkey. I was Diyarbakir and Mardin for this purpose in last weekend. I saw her in the street, she was bagging. Then I learned that she's a refugee of Syrians :(
War is very bad thing no matter which purpose caused that and the damaging effect of the wars can easily be seen in the face of this little child; scared and hopeless.

An excellent, sad, serious and important photograph, in the best tradition of documentary photography. I hope lots of TE members see this. As you say, her expression is highly significant, and on a technical level, your composition is excellent. I hope she got the help she so clearly needs.

hakan hocam, süper bir foto olmuş, çekimi, kesimi ve işlemesiyle. ifadede ise yazındaki tüm detaylar mevcut. dedim, acaba "eeeh yeter beaa!!!" deyip suriye'ye muhabirliğe mi gitti, neyse hala buralardaymışsın. bir de, sen yaptığına göre mubahtır kaşlardan kesmek diye düşünüyorum, sonraki tüm portrelerimi kaşlardan kesecem.
