Photographer's Note
I had heard about Miniatürk a while ago and have wanted to see it. In my recent trip to Istanbul, I got a chance to see it.
Miniatürk is a miniature park situated at the north-eastern shore of Golden Horn. It was opened on May 2, 2003. Miniatürk covers a total area of 60,000 square metres (650,000 sq ft). It is one of the world's largest miniature parks with its 15,000 m2 (160,000 sq ft) model area. The park contains 122 models in 1:25 scale. It contains structures from in and around Turkey, some from former Ottoman territories, as well as interpretations of historic structures within Turkey.
This is the entrance to the park. A couple was documenting their visit to the park and I decided to include them in my take.
İstanbul'a yaptığım son gezide, onu görme şansım oldu.
Miniatürk, Haliç'in kuzey doğu kıyısında yer alan bir minyatür parkıdır.

Hello Murat,
There is a similar park in the Netherlands too, I haven't been there since I was a child, but I remember that I liked it very much. A great capture of this entrance, I really like the colourful structure and the large Turkish flag.

Hello Murat,
It's good that we can see the woman's face. Hijabs don't bother me at all. But a full burka with gauze across the eyes and both hands and feet covered, you have to wonder what is the point of taking a photo of your wife in a burka at a public landmark, as I saw in Sultanahmet. The red and white Turk flag adds place & context. Tfs!

Bonjour, cher Murat,

The flags decorated entrance scaled wonderfully by the couple taking pictures there, Murat.
Excellent colors combination, fine clear details of the iron structure and lavish green vegetation.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Hello Murat,
That's a witty name for a park. I am sure you had an interesting visit. Now I'm looking forward to miniature versions of Cappadocia and Anıt Kabir. The Turkish flag brightens any photo and here it gets assistance from the "sails" hanging above the road. The young couple add some life to the view.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello, Murat!
Beautiful view of the entrance to the miniature park, with the Turkish flag standing out for its strong colors and its perfect position in the image! Interesting triangles that create a very nice pattern, making the photo more attractive! Well done!
