Photographer's Note
Built on a high plateau through the end of eighteenth century, in eastern Turkey near Mount Ararat, Ishak Pasa Palace is a big complex whose construction started under the local governor Ishak Pasha, and finished 95 years later by his grandson Mehmet Pasha.
The palace with a dimension of 50m x 115m, is as large as a soccer field and includes a big courtyard, over 100 rooms and a mosque which can be seen on the picture. It is a mixture of many styles: Ottoman with respect to its plan, Seljukid with its front door and Turkestani with its dome.
Due to its proximity to the Russian and Persian borders of the empire, Ishak Pasa Palace suffered serious damage during several wars, beginning with the Russian seige in 1828. It went several restauration projects in recent years.

Hello,
From the softness of the shot, I recognize it was coming from a scanning. I recently post-processed some old scanned slides with a first similar rendering. The sharpness must be tuned to recover a bit.
A great mood with the colors and the pattern of clouds giving also a good feeling of depth.
The kind of landscape I like.
Yves.

Hello Erdem - This is really lovely. The moody light across the palace and town beyond is very attractive and atmospheric. And, the colours of the sky work very well here. I know nothing at all about scanning transparencies but the results here look good to me. Yves talks about a softness but I think it suits the romantic, other-worldly feel. Warm regards rosemary

Hi Erdum,
You have taken a very 'eye catching' image. Beautiful colours and a simple, very effective composition.

Hi Erdem. The colours and setting create a dreamlike image even though it is an image in which the building and the topography are steeped in history. Lovely work. Salam. Klaudio.

Hello Erdem
A very atmospheric and dramatic shot. As always, it's the light that works the miracles (as well as the photographer, who has to be there to capture it); I'm thinking this is sunrise, thought it could be the end of the day I suppose. Excellent composition too (rule of thirds).
Regards
Will
