Photographer's Note

When our ship arrived in Kusadasi, Turkey, Izmir Province, we were greeted by a ceremony of a large contingent of folk dancers and singers. It was a joy to behold and hear the performances of the group, specially the women. To my eyes they are all very pretty. Even the crews of the ship stopped working and watched the performance. They performed right on the asphalted driveway of the port. The port is at Kusadasi. Our main aim in coming is to visit the ancient ruins of the City of Ephesus.

Kusadasi means “Bird Isand” and for the past 30 years,Kkusadasi has grown from a small fishing village to a large community dedicated to serving tourist. Ephesus, is the showplace of Aegean Archeology. It is credited as being colonized by the Ionians in 10th. century BC. The Ephesus Museum is considered as one of the most important museum in Turkey.

I took this photo before I have known about TE and TL. It was the time before I got hooked in digital photography. I took this photo with my old Minolta camera. I do not have any record of the ECIF and no negatives to scan. I scanned the old print from my album. From the scanned print I did the usual processing for a digital negative.

P Work: Adjusted levels control; Adjusted saturation; Sharpen; Crop; Frame; Reduce size for posting.
