Photographer's Note
The experience of emerging from the Siq is one of those "wow" moments. The Treasury or Al-Khazneh is an astonishing piece of craftsmanship. Although carved out of sandstone to serve as a tomb for Nabataean King Aretas III, the Treasury derives its name from the story that an Egyptian pharaoh his his treasure in the urn in the middle of the second level.

Very nice shot! This is one of the most popular angles of Petra, but the two camels and not always there, so great timing as well!

Hello Michael,
You've framed the extraordinary structure beautifully between the cliffs, and presented the local color in the foreground. Well composed, beautifully exposed. The absence of direct sunlight is effective here, in that there is no stark contrast in light and shadow. The textures reveal themselves better.
Warm regards,
Bulent
