Photographer's Note
Deliberately I had added the question mark, because this is odd:
It's been thousands years ago with the last major earthquake in Santorini, that the eastern Mediterranean had a Tsunami on its shores. And yet, the Ashdod municipality found a reason to post several warning signs along the town's seashores.
Hope this is not a negative fulfilling-thinking...
Location of this beautiful seashore is 31.8015 ,34.6333 on the map.
Will show more of the city sandy shores in due time.

Hi Ikevery curious signal,i don't think that this is a place a risk for tsunami, but maybe this is just a way to wash the hands for the political autorities in case of a tragedy....ehehe....interesting post from this beach that seems peaceful and clean,i like it! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Ike,
Indeed, rather bizarre. But, as Luciano says, maybe the local authorities want to play it safe. I like how you have framed the tsunami sign between the other two. The people on the beach quietly ignoring the sign plus the two ships in the background contribute further points of interest. Very good technical realisation.

Hi Ike,
You have captured well the power of the waves. The distance between the beach and the horizon is creating depth. The point of vie wis showing the details of the signs, of the beach and of the sea. The good luminosity is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice day.

Hello Ike,
Are these very recent additions?
Maybe, they have received some new information but you would imagine it would be widely shared with neighbouring regions if this were the case! It's bizarre!! And, I can see five notices in this small section.
The only new notices that we have on UK beaches is with regard to dog fouling! Anyone is expected to clear up after their dogs to prevent health risks!
Despite the strangeness of the subject, you have composed the scene well and their are ships and bathers to enjoy, more normal features, in the b/g.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Ike,
it is better to be warned and prepared, the planet today is changing and natural phenomena are unpredictable, well seen,

Hello Ike,
A beautiful view of the sand beach and the blue sky and sea with some large cargo ships in the background. The signs are well included in the foreground. They authorities must have thought 'better safe than sorry'.

Bonjour Ike,

Hello,
Nice minimalist beach scene. I like the colors and the idea with your intrigued question. Who knows, maybe they know something we don't... :P

Hello Ike,
Strange sign with this warning in many languages. Also no wehicles allowed on sand is amusing. Tsunami in Mediterranean seem improbable.
Nice wide sandy beach, but such beaches are rather boring for me.
have a great day (in Poland it is rainy and cold, brrr).

Hello Ike,
nice the view of the sandy beach with the signs to warning the visitors and the swimmers for Tsunami.Excellent presentation of the place with the sign to be a bit extravagant i think.

Hello Ike,
So, does Israel or Ashdod municipality have a tsunami watch program in place? If not, what is the point of putting up a sign if you are not going to warn people of its coming? Now, does the other sign say "No Drones?" I just realized that the two ships in the distance are very similar. At any rate, very nice beach scene, the signs add interest and color.
Regards,
MT
PS. To answer your question (yes, I am behind in replying to your critiques) about your Italy pictures: No I don't have a trip planned to Italy. On days you don't have any new photos, I go back in your gallery and I am currently on p. 55, where your Italy photos are.

Hi Ike
It's not just volcanoes that cause tsunamis. Earthquakes are a much bigger cause. Both the 1960 Pacific tsunami originating in Chile and the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami off Sumatra were caused by earthquakes over 9.0. There are several spots around the Mediterranean where such earthquakes can / could occur. The super volcano off Naples is one of them. There are a dozen faults off Istanbul that could rupture at any moment. So if this sign saves just one life its money well spent.

After almost a week without access to TrekEarth, here we are again! The strong colors of the placards and the excellent contrast make this scene so beautiful! Very good colors and sharpness! Wonderful job!

Hi Ike,
I wonder if it should be Decisive Moment or rather Humorous category :)
Well I read recently that if the volcano on the Canary Island erupts, the tsunami could reach UK... So we are nowhere safe I suppose.
Beautiful beach, it does not feel dangerous at first sight at all.
Very well spotted!

Hi Ike.
A strange warning of that poster, does not seem that the Mediterranean area is very prone to Tsunami, perhaps want the beautiful beach is free of too many people, ideal perspective with that blue sea.
Great color, which gives a lot of force to the image.
Very good brightness and perfect sharpness.
Well done. I like.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Ike, the sandy beach is clean and well maintained. It was almost empty at the time of the photo. A cargo ship is navigating offshore in the far bg. These warning signs are a bit exagerated, the probability of an earthquake that will provoke a tsunami afterwards is low in the eastern Mediterranean region. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.
