Photographer's Note

Some 60 years ago, Ashdod was founded as town built out from those sand-dunes that still surround the large area of the 5th largest city in Israel.

This picture was taken at the very far south end of town's quarters, at 31.769, 34.618 on the map.

The large dunes still offer a good visit to this eco-system, though the concrete new 15th quarter of the city is taking over lots from this free unique nature's. Environmentalists constantly fighting for its preservation.
See this interesting reading from a Wikipedia page about the place.

Picture is a RAW converted into JPEG, F11.0, ISO100.
Complementary pic. on the WS.
