Photographer's Note

A view of Ben Nevis - affectionately know as 'The Ben' from Beinn Heasgarnich several miles south.

The Ben is the highest mountain in the British Isles and it has been unusual to see this much snow on it so late for a long time.

I had been ski mountaineering and the day was glorious, but as usual, Ben Nevis creates its own weather.

The camera was on full (16x) zoom, hence maybe the slight softness.

Hello, Alastair,
I think it's wonderful. I like the way the FG is sharper and then gets a bit softer toward the BG. It looks as though it's snowing in the background. Lovely light and nice soft colors and just a fabulous view. Many thanks and kindest regards,
