The planning has just been put in place to demolish this building to make way for an 11 storey hotel. The picture is taken on Hulme Street facing Oxford Road, with the Palace Hotel in view. The front of this building faces the BBC on Oxford Road.

Hi Mike, I find this subject very interesting and if this interesting old building will disappear, this is another reason to post it here, so it will be in a way "immortalised"...
I like the mood of this photo, there is some nostalgia in the air, maybe the light, the timing, the fact that the street is almost deserted ?

:)) (I'll be back) // NB : as an exercice (I am new to photoshop), I tried to eliminate the distortions but maybe did you actually want to keep them ? The result is not good, there is a loss in sharpness and colours are darker but nevertheless I decided to post it - hope that you are not shocked by the result ! Your photo is better anyway :))
