Photographer's Note

The most famous and cute scottish animal.

Undeniably Scottish cows are very important elements of scottish landscapes, especially in Highlands.

They are also the oldest known cattle breed. Despite their long horns, they are gentle and easily handled. Their long bangs (dossan) protect eyes while shorter legs mean fewer foot and leg problems.

They are known for their gentle disposition, hardiness in adverse weather conditions and strong resistance to disease. They are able to adapt to a variety of climates including harsh, cold climates where other cattle breeds might not survive.

As a specific brown animals they are well introduced to beautiful scottish fields in green valleys.

I met this one on Isle of Skye. Its colour was so uncommon, almost like chocolate.

Hope you like it. Regards
