Photographer's Note
Went to Blackpool to do some street photography at the weekend and it was a disaster. Absolutely freezing and got diddly squat. Anyway, thought this was a bit amusing. I know you can't put animal pictures on here so this is the nearest I can get. Oh, by the way, its a stall on Blackpool Pleasure Beach but I forgot to see what you have to do to win a dog. It has something to do with the green bottles but I can't think what. If anyone knows.....

Hi Mark,
Maybe when you drink a bottle you get a dog for free ;-)
Indeed a funny picture, but it seems nog a single dog looks the same, that makes it very nice to look all those different faces.

Hi Mark.
A very amusing shot:)
The composition is simple but nice, and some of those dogs (like the one in the center at the bottom) have some great looks.
I think the object of the game is to throw small wooden or rubber hoops and make them go around the neck of the bottles. I think there are some hoops in the middle of the shot, betyween the bottles

Hi mark an amusing picture for sure - it's got to be about throwing somethjing in them i guess or perhaps ....nah i give in it's too early in the morning .....a small suggestion ....I think the image would be better perhaps without those lights....no on second thoughts .....there is another image without those lights...they do add another horizontal band to keep the eye busy reading across the picture as they are but the lights themselves are a bit of a distraction overall .....I can see why you kept them in.....but I would experiment too with closer framing.
all the best kev

Hello Mark,
A funny image!
Well composed in distinct layers, lovely textures in the "fur" coats...

An amusing shot, well spotted, Mark. It's always pleasing to make something out of unpromising material in photography - I think this one is very original.Regards,

Wondrful visualisation. The selective composition is nice and you give life to the dogs. Great eye to have such a street shot.

Hi Mark!
I guess this is an amazing and very, very funny photo! The dogs really seem to be drunk already. Everything matches here. The composition is great and I think it's right for trekearth. Anyway, it's a game you have seen somewhere, right? And it's not the kind of game we see everyday...
Thanks for this moment of good time!!

This compo is so amusing! As other have noted, these dogs seem to be all different, yet they're the same.
The combo dogs and green bottles leaves me perplexed.

Hello Mark, glad that the harsh censorship has left this marvellous doggy show online, what a delight this shot is, full of graphism and humour... am afraid I have absolutely no idea as to what on earth to do with the green bottles... but it doesn't really matter (they're empty, anyhow :-) and what matters, really, is the composition, your artful crop that makes all the difference. Great capture!

What the heck is that??? A dog-binge-drinking competition??? Since it's in england, I suspect that the bottles are full od ale, and that if you can get one of the dogs to drink the whole row in less than 25 secs, then, you win a prize (a bumbag not shown on the photo). I could tell because all the dogs have their tongues out, which shows they are thirsty ;-)
Anyway, that's a good photo with a strong impact!

salut Mark,
très bonne idée, le jeu des répétitions est vraiment excellent.
Une petite touche de lumière serait bien je pense.
bonne journée.

"How much is that doggy in the window???" What about that one, or the one next to it...hehe!
Absolutely wicked picture mate...its such fun to look at, considering its a load of stuffed the top of the window, but it has a great impact all the same.
What I like most is that all the dogs heads and tongues are flapping about all over the place, making them look like more than stuffed animals...
very cool...

Hello, Mark :)
I read your intro and took a long look at your gallery.
imho you have a great eye to work with lines and graphism and pattern repetition. Like this one, for exemple.
I´ve made a ws, just for fun, and also to improve the repetition.
hope you don´t mind :)
warm regards from Brasil.
