Photographer's Note
What are these people doing there?
The girl in jeans has her feet in different hemispheres.
Since the late 19th century, the Prime Meridian at Greenwich has divided the eastern and western hemispheres of the Earth - just as the Equator divides the northern and southern hemispheres.
In Ecuador I stood on Equator, and, quite naturally, I wanted to see also Prime Meridian.
From Wikipedia:
"A prime meridian is the meridian (a line of longitude) in a geographic coordinate system at which longitude is defined to be 0°. Together, a prime meridian and its anti-meridian (the 180th meridian in a 360°-system) form a great circle. This great circle divides a spheroid into two hemispheres. If one uses directions of East and West from a defined prime meridian, then they can be called the Eastern Hemisphere and the Western Hemisphere".
I have been absent from TE for some time. Six weeks ago my happy life ended. I have lost ten kilos, have more grey hair. My family and friends were very worried about me and advised me to go for a trip. I decided to hear this advice and went for ten days to London.
I liked London very much. I had great sunny weather, I visited more then ten museums, many parks, saw a lot of famous places and heard the Sunday concert in St. Martin in the Field. I took hundreds of photos. But it didn't help much. The trip didn't bring me joy. I felt lonely.

Hi Malgo,
You have captured well where the woman stand, The point of view is showing the details of the buildings. The quality of the light beautifies the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo,
I was worried about you. I’m relieved to see you back on TE. Your latest photo is interesting, not only for showing the Prime Meridien, but I also like the cobblestones, and architecture. Thinking of you, and wishing there were some words that could help you feel better…

Hi Malgo
Good to see you back and hopefully improving in yourself after your loss. For you I guess travel would be an ideal therapy although may have to con a friend or 2 to go with you.
A good photo from Greenwich, a spot I enjoyed visiting a few years ago.

Hello Malgo,
I have a photo of myself as a child standing with one foot in Sweden and the other in Norway, but of course this is a much greater event. And it's in colours, with a nice background and many other persons.
It's good to see you posting again after such a long absence. Hopefully being active here again could distract you a little bit from your sorrow and worries. Losing 10 kilos doesn't sound so bad. I am sure many persons would envy you. ;-)
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Malgo,
I visited Greenwich once as well, but was standing at the foot of the hill and was too lazy or tired to climb it, so I didn't see the meridian and the observatory from this close. It was a beautiful and sunny day with some attractive white clouds.

Hi Malgo,
Fantastic picture and very useful note. I like a lot. Everything you are going through shows us the greatness of your love and your heart but I don't think he would like to see you like this. Bring him alive in your memories and be grateful to God for the time God gave him to you.
My fraternal hug for you

Ciao Malgo,I am a little sad to know that despite the journey you are still a bit in crisis, I hope time heals everything, you must not let yourself go, life is still long and there are many beautiful things to see. I would also like to lose 10 kg ... this was basically a small advantage. The photo is very informative, I have never been here so it was interesting to observe the border between the 2 hemispheres and understand what the girl was doing. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Pozdrav.
Lep pogled i trenutak, interesantan i dobar tekst ...
Lepa scena na trgu i arhitektura u pozadini, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perpsketivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.
Dobar rad, lepa fotografija.
Lepo okupljanje i beli oblaci na plavom nebu.
Zelim vam sve najbolje.

Hello Malgo, pleased to see you posting again, but sorry that your trip didn’t lift your spirits. It is still early days, and I hope that you feel happier soon.
Once again a very informative note that clearly explains what we are seeing.
I like your point of view. Perfect timing where the man and the young woman are standing with their feet in different hemispheres.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

I wanted to visit this place too, but I had no time while in UK.
the line is artificial, not so important as the equator and tropics. nice use of the personages. this remind me macapá city, where the equator line divided an avenue, a stadium and the whole town.
take care

Hello Malgo,
This experience must be similar to when people stand on two sides of the continental divide in the Midwest. I think Saudi Arabia is preparing to challenge the Prime Meridian, I hope we do not give in to petro-dollars.
Regards,
MT
