Another difficult decision as to which photo I'd have for the main one (I've just too many photos to have each as a main one).
I've selected this one - what is claimed to be the shortest river in Britain at just a few hundred metres long. The Scavaig River drains Loch Coruisk (yesterday's photo and also in todays WS). It drops just 4 metres from the loch to the sea.
In the WS are 2 more photos from the Cuillins. There is another one of the loch that we walked beside and one of a hut near the mouth of the river.

Hi Ian
4 metres is indeed a VERY short river! Reminds me of Hellsylt in Norway which has a similar cascades. Good sharpness and soft lighting. Tfs!

Hello Ian,
I understand your problem. You have supplied us with a series of photographs of high quality, clearly recording what you witnessed. No worries, to see them all was a pleasure!
I smiled that I had to learn about my own country with notes from Australia. I did not know about the shortest river ...!

Hello Ian,
I have seen all photos and they are all good and show beautiful sceneries, so it makes no difference to me which is the main upload.
Best regards,

Your main picture are a lovely image, the most nice picture of the three.
You create nice depth and perspective, presentation are pleasant.
Nice colours too, certainly with the big rocks in background.
Very well done, TFS.

Hi Ian,
You have captured well the flow of the river. The point of view is showing the details pf the mountains and of the river. The light is giving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.

Hi Ian,
These nearly bare rocks look so Alpine like. If only the weather was more reliable in the north. Nice compositions with the high appearing mountain and the river.
Very well done,
M

Hello Ian,
This short river will most likely meet the definition criteria for a river.
Yet I had never heard that a river could be so short.
Excellent pictures in the WS of which I find WS1 the most attractive because of its colours and brightness.
You show us wonderful nature photos of Scotland. What about accommodation and eating options there?
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ian, I know this problem very well. First, to choose three photos for the post and then, which will be the main one. Embarrass de richesse. Some people here do not have this problem, they just show all. Beautiful photo and funny that this 4 meter is called a river.
Best regards Malgo

Hello Ian,
An imposing sight out in the southern side of the Isle-of-Skye, truely a difficulr choice to choose as main post - both are marvelous photos. On the map, the Scavaig River seems as a shallow water-pass from the Loch to the sea, 430m +/- length.
57.1979, -6.161 on the map.
Wish you a nice weekend,
Ike

Hello again,
This is a very spectacular portrayal of this really short river. - Can you even call such a short water flow a river?
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Ian,
Apparently the shortest river is the Roe River in Montana, only 61 m long. It is contested by the D River in Lincoln City, Oregon.
Terrific scenery with majestic rocks.

MT
