Photographer's Note
The Albert Memorial is situated in Kensington Gardens, directly to the north of the Royal Albert Hall. It was commissioned by Queen Victoria in memory of her beloved husband, Prince Albert who died of typhoid in 1861. The memorial was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the Gothic Revival style. Opened in July 1872 by Queen Victoria, with the statue of Albert ceremonially "seated" in 1875, the memorial consists of an ornate canopy or pavilion, in the style of a Gothic ciborium over the high altar of a church, containing a statue of the prince facing south. The memorial is 176 feet (54 m) tall, took over ten years to complete, and cost £120,000 (the equivalent of about £10,000,000 in 2010). The cost was met by public subscription. Source: Wikipedia

Superb capture of this memorial. Excellent POV and the very blue sky is a great background. The sharpness is great and brings out all the details really well. Nice inclusion of the two people too.

One of the most impressive monuments in London, Goisa, and you had a marvelous bright day when taken this photo.
The two bikers scale well the scene, which show beautiful art elements built on.
Have a nice Sunday afternoon,

Hello Gosia,
I have not seen this memorial since it was restored some years ago now; it is really quite spectacular seen here in all its glory against that wonderful sky. The point of view is very well chosen and the technical realisation excellent. I like the presence of the two boys with their bikes.

Ciao Gosia
non ho visto molte foto di questo luogo, per cui risulta una bella condivisione, ma soprattutto è una bella foto.
Il monumento è veramente bello e hai aggiunto interesse inserendo i due ragazzi in bici.
Buona domenica

Hello Gosia
a shot that proves we do have days when we get clear deep blue skies in England, and what better a backdrop to the wonderful Albert Memorial. It looks spectacular in this glorious shot. Well done!
Enjoy your Sunday - B.

Ciao Gosia,
J'aime beaucoup cette composition. Le monument par lui-même est déjà très beau ,mais lorsqu'on y rajoute une belle contre plongée, un ciel parfait et des cyclistes qui passent juste au bon moment, c'est parfait.
Bon dimanche

Hi Gosia,
This is a pretty epic memorial! I have heard of it before, but I nev knew it was huge and so ornate. The gold color reminds me too of a temple, and I could see this happily positioned in a complex in Thailand, an excellent view that you have taken, and brilliant idea to include the two people, as they help show the impressive size well. Taken under beautiful light too.
Thanks for sharing this wonder.
Cheers

Hello Gosia,
It's a well known monument, but the inclusion of the two persons and their bikes add a human component that gives the composition a personal style. The excellent colours and clarity, and the well chosen POV, also seem to be parts of your personal style.
Kind rgards,

Hello Gosia,
Great shot of this beautiful monument with only 2 people in the shot. The angle of the shot works well allowing us to see more than one side of the structure. The gold of the monument stands out beautifully against the deep blue sky.

Howdy Siudzi,
Impressive ornate and detailed temple to Albert, a blend of neo gothic and religious treatments, and reminding us of the British Empire perhaps at its height under Queen Victoria.
Would enjoy visiting the monument in person.
We Yanks rarely have been exposed to the Albert Memorial.
Thanks for sharing,
Cheers,

Hello Gosia,
I can't remember seeing this monument before, it is very impressive in your large vertical frame, the blue sky is a magnificent backdrop that pleases the eyes and sets off the subject most effectively. You chose a fine perspective and the details of the sculptures and the decoration are sharp and clear for the viewer to study. The two people allow us to grasp the dimensions of the monument. Your colour management is superb. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
Ourania

Hello Gosia,
the clear blue sky provides a perfect backdrop for this most impressive of Memorials, the exposure settings are spot on and the amount of detail shown first rate.
The colourful cyclist help to give scale as well as providing that little bit of human interest.
Warm regards Les.

Hello Gosia,
This famous monument with its gold decoration is always a good one to photograph. I think it stands out magnificently in your photo against the pure blue sky. The couple with their bikes makes this picture for me, giving an interesting juxtaposition of the rigid statues and people in modern clothes. Beautifully taken.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hi Gosia
I don't think i've seen this before, or maybe i'm just forgetting?
I don't think its a common subject for people to photograph or post on TE from London, but it certainly has its merrits.
love the gold colors mixing with all the blues and whites, it stands out strongly. Nice touch to have the people walk by as well, just for scale and for us to relate better to it.
excellent sharpness and details.
cheers

Cześć Gosia! Uwielbiam takie czyste, ciemnoniebieskie, wręcz granatowe niebo, wtedy zdjęcia same się robią. Ciekawy obiekt w kadrze, ładnie wchodzą na scene dwaj goście z rowerami. Dobry niski punkt widzenia, niemal żabia perspektywa. Świetna jakość zdjęcia. No bo z jednej strony technicznie fotografia bez zarzutu, a z drugiej - że się tak wyrażę - ze strony artystycznej same ochy i achy mogę z siebie tylko wydobyć, więc wydobywam. Pozdrawiam!
