Photographer's Note
This picture was taken last autumn in the Loxley valley where I've spent quite a bit of time this last year walking around looking for pictures.
I remember the day before taking this image that I had gotten into a discussion with Donato (Longroute) about the habit of taking photographs and the value of waiting for the right conditions or the right moment to take the image. With that in mind I found this area and waited for the clouds to break because I knew the direct sun would make all the difference here and it was pointless to take the image without it....so this one is for Donato for helping me to re-think my habits and allowing me to capture something at its best, not just in the moment when I first happen to pass by.

Hi James,
you see, the sun makes the difference:) it looks really warm despite that menacing sky and I like it. Sure fall colors add their spice as well creating a very sentimental mood. Lovely work.
Have a great weekend

Hi James,
Your reminder to take the time and wait for the right moment is a valuable piece of advice for all of us. Knowing that it was taken in Autumn helps to convey the feeling of the warmth that overcame the scene as the sun broke through onto the Autumn leaves.
Regards
Trevor
