Photographer's Note
Well it seems to have taken me forever to reach 100 posts on TE, hopefully the next 100 will come a little quicker...
see my previous picture "Ladybower" for a description. This picture was taken in the same area on the same morning, I'll be posting a few more from that day as a sort of mini series I suppose. There were so many opportunities and the reflections so complete.

Hello James
I love the soft technique, the weather and your delicate RAW conversion helped make a special mood.
The colours are tame but appealing especially for the scene. Love the old house at the end, did you try cheating and get rid of that road (off centre right), somehow it may help by not breaking the image ever so slightly?
Great work and congrats
Jim

Hi James
Nice to see your 100th post, its hard to believe some people have 1500!
I find that the more i look at the photo, the more i like it. To be honest, when i first laid eyes on it i wasn't too impressed. But then everything starts to slowly hit you, with the lines of color in the forest, the charming house, the calming atmosphere and of course the perfect mirror image.
I think my favorite part of the shot are the lines of varying color horizontally across the frame.
nice shot.
cheers

Hi James,
Congratulation for your 100th post... better go slowly, that's my opinion. TE must be a fun, if the pace is too fast it becomes a labour! (:-)
I hope you don't mind if I say frankly what impression I get of this photo: the image has very good potentialities, the place is so fine and evocative and the reflection in the lake creates a symmetrical composition which pleases the eye. But you weren't lucky with the light and so the colours are not what they should be...
Once a top landscape photographer told me that Landscape photography is a matter of patience, of great patience! He returned even four or five times in the same spot until he found the right light.
I guess you'll have a better chance! (:-)
Anyway we must give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and the photo must be praised for the framing.
Have a nice Sunday,
Donato
