Sand Car, a photo from Dorset, England

Photographer's Note

This is Harry Potter and his flying car sculptured in sand. There is a man at Weymouth who does these sand sculptures. It was protected by netting which you can see on the photo. Wasn't sure if I could remove it using PS and if so how.

Hi Lizard-Lady, a pity about the netting, the subject is appropriate to make a nice photo of it. Your child near harry, looking at each other , with your camera in a lower viewpoint at the right etc. Now only a rather straightforward photo could be made, a registration of a creation by others. And removing the net with PS... pfff...messy. Rather tell that guy that you are a photographer and need a good photo ( '..for my portfolio...') of the car, he will be in for a good promotional picture that you will give him on A4 format. :)

I love sand sculptures, Benidorm is full of them, real works of art. It's good to see a home grown British version, the netting is a problem, I've also done a little workshop for an alternative method, not perfect, but this sort of noise is very stubborn to remove.

Great unusual shot, I really like it...After a few minutes messing around I created a silly workshop...hope you like it.
