Photographer's Note
Eurostar trains waiting to leave St Pancras station in London.
St Pancras station is a work of art. The old station has been very sympathetically restored at a cost of 800 million GBP and is now the home of Eurostar. The station boasts several well known retail outlets for those with a few euros or GBPs to spend.
For the more affluent or those wishing to depart on a romantic note, there is a champange bar. Sir John Betjemins statue graces the upper floor. The original brick work is a joy to see, as is the wonderful glass roof.
Then there is the beautiful 9m "The meeting place" (The Kissing couple) bronze statue which takes pride of place and was situated behind me when I took this photo. This work of Paul Day was featured in a BBC documentary. It is an amazing sculpture and a joy to see.
If you are ever intending to travel by Eurostar to either Brussels or Paris, take a trip up the escalator, or take the stairs and admire the glass roof, the old achitecture and brickwork, and of course the wonderful statues.

Hello again Bridget
I really like your symmetrical composition with the column in the middle with its stay laying above, forming a symbolic "T" for train, maybe? Very well exposed with great sharpness to expose lots of details. Very interesting note as well. Well done! Thanks for sharing. Have a nice evening.
Best regards, Erling

Oui, Bridget, nous allons!
You have done very well here with the exposure - not a mean feat in view of the very bright light in the distant windows - with good detail in the darkest shadows and also in the brightest highlights. Fine symmetry too and I think that the very slightly off-centre viewpoint enhances the whole picture - it would be rather dull were it to be absolutely symmetrical.
A fine picture with good colours and excellent sharpness too. And an interesting note to accompany it.
Kind Regards,
John.

Hello Bridget,
The St. Pancras Station has been modernized tastefully. The clean and minimalist lines complement the high speed trains that it serves, and what better way to photograph the station than this. Excellent display of one-point perspective.
The note is informative and much appreciated.
Warm regards, Bridget,
Bulent
