Hello Mark,
A fascinating study in dereliction and the British penchant for abandoning detritus ;-) Good pov with the delapidated rollercoaster above and the rubbish strewn about below. One wonders about the caravan - is that abandoned as well? Good documentary shot.

The derelict rollercoaster looks great set against the blue sky, and the inclusion of the detritus at the bottom emphasises the sense of decay and abandment.
From the gas bottles and rubbish bags, it looks like someone is still living in that caravan.
Good work.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Mark,
what I like more is the messy foreground... A real desolate place. It is a bit ironic with the words "fun fair".
Well seen.

Another good one in the decay series Mark. Great compo to get all of the ride in as well as the pallets and bog seat in the foreground. Wonder who lives in the caravan?

Hi Mark, I like shots like this. A good view on the rotten enviroment. A special view with a cool atmosphere. Like the mood, Nino.

Sorry Mark, I don't think this one works for me, to be honest... the foreground is too dark and colorless. I would prefer some crop with only the sky and metal structure, I guess.

Haha, Mark, that toilet in the front, solitary and discarded, with these rails looming above with the FUN FAIR lights, makes a pretty damn cool shot again... excellent work, deliciously bizarre, with great compositional and tonal values, am much enjoying it!

hi mark,
what a pleasure to jump into your gallery after few days...and find this (yet another) example of off-season life,
bit dark in the bottom but its a minor thing i think,
amuzing photo,
and in the same time - very sad,
best wishes, j.

Very very interesting indeed. I read a couple of months ago an article on an Italian (?) Photographer who is working on parks. As in your photo (his photos are taken from inside the park) he opposes what is going on inside the park to its environnement (field with cows, industrial plants etc.). The photos are really striking as is "Fun fair" behind all the detritus here.
Have a nice WE
