Photographer's Note

This picture was taken about an hour before posting. The light was strange tonight - charged in some way.

The sky was a mass of bulging grey clouds all day, but it never rained. When the light started to fade, this amazing tone was evident. Not a breath of wind either in this sheltered spot. Driving past I just had to stop.

A polarizer to let us see through the water, an ND Grad to allow a long exposure.

The only post processing of this picture was to reduce the exposure, increase the contrast, increase saturation in the sky. A final sharpenning and this is what I was left with.
