Photographer's Note

Went to Bawdsey in Suffolk at the beginning of the year, more to scout out the location than to take photos, but was surprised by a lovely sunrise so rushed down to the beach to get a couple of shots. Bawdsey is where they tested and worked on Radar during, and after WW2 and for a long time large parts of the area were fenced off by the Army.

I'm more used to shooting on a sand beach, rather than pebbles, so was surprised at how quickly the wave dies away when it hits the shingle. This part of the coast suffers from a lot of errosion, so the beach is littered with sea defences, both new and old.

Thanks for looking.
