Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

My last post showed the quadrangle of Trinity College and I know most of us are interested to see what is inside the buildings. I will give details of the two buildings mentioned in my previous photograph.

This photograph shows the dining hall. I was doubly pleased when taking the shot, firstly because the dining hall looked splendid and I could see how it had influenced the Harry Potter stories and, secondly, because there was a tourist who was a bit of a miscreant.

A miscreant is someone who doesn't obey the rules. There is usually a person like the guy in red in most groups. Everyone was following the guide, dutifully listening to the information about the college and laughing at some interesting anecdotes but this guy, well, he wanted to do his own thing. The guide had to wait for him to catch up on several occasions and you could tell that the group was becoming impatient.

I hasten to add, we were not with the group but just enjoying taking advantage of the moment!

There were lots of portraits around the hall and more modern ones, in the corridor, leading to the hall. These celebrated former college members who had had an impact on the world.

In my workshopI will show the interior of the chapel, too.

Enjoy your Sunday, Bev :-)
