Photographer's Note

The title is made of a phrase which I heard so many times from my daughter. But it is not my fault, in fact, it is King Henry VIII fault that he decided to ruin so many monasteries and churches around the country, and in the result now in the North East of England ruins are one of the main class of a tourist attraction to visit. The Easby Abby was, to me knowledge, showed only once on TrekEarth before. It is located near Richmond in North Yorkshire. Richmond is a lovely town, which I have visited before but usually on a bad weather day hence I didn’t show any photos from there. It does not have very good road connections with the rest of the world and so it stays off the beaten track. This was a short Saturday afternoon walk among the Easby Abbey ruins. I still have so many photos from this year trip to Poland, Germany and Greece which I would like to share, and I try to make my TrekEarth gallery more international, which basically means avoiding photos from the UK, but occasionally it is nice to show something hot off the camera. So here you are: my postcard from the Easby Abbey.
