Photographer's Note

Some shots come more by pure luck than design, this was one such, what I call a 'happy accident' shot.

Not taken at night as you might expect, but during broad daylight on a hot spring morning, the sun was sparkling on the water of the lake, and swans were swimming idly by.

When I loaded the image into the computer I found that those brilliant glints on the water had confused the camera's exposure meter and thrown the swan into dark silhouette and darkened the rest of the picture to an almost night time one.

Happy accidents don't come along too often, but when they do it really makes your day!
