Photographer's Note
Mother & daughter out for a Sunday lunchtime cup of tea and a good old chin wag (talk, natter, gossip etc,). Not really surprising is it. Mother and son. Father and daughter. No, not really. Father and son in the pub. Ah yes. Relationships. Funny old thing really.

Hi Mark,
I like this sort of photos... Don't know really why... maybe because I'm not able to do this : )
I like the intimate atmosphere...
my best regards ; )

Fine daily life contribution Mark. I like their mutual engagement, well captured here. A crop in the lower part along the table side had worked as well I think..

hi mark,
you really got close in this one, looks as if you could wipe your lense againsta that woman's hair...
i think moving few inches to the right would allow to see the younger woman's face too,
bravo for this "intervention" into intimacy :-)

Hi Mark,
are you sure it is mother and daughter. The old lady reminds me to Miss Marple (do you know the old private detective?) and the other one ... her blond hair and the bigger nose ... hiding her face behind her hair ... maybe she is a man at least ... and maybe they talk about a crime ... maybe the murderer is near by ...
I like that this shot gives enough room for different fantasies.

A funny one, Mark... with a funny title... have never heard this expression but like it much, one of the quintessential British ironical phrases, which I find amusing or adorable or both. Love the moment you caught here, that intensity between mother and daughter. You can well hear their conversation. Must be a gossip. Or the daughter could tell her about her idiotic husband who does x y z and not a b c.... perhaps nothing of the sort at all. I just cannot imagine they are discussing the latest show in Tate Modern. But the fact that the shot keeps you guessing is a good thing. Indeed a funny one. Like the vantage point, that conspiratorial closeness...
good night from over the pond,

Good capture of a "candid moment" - they do look deep in conversaton, and totally oblivious to you, though you must have been fairly close up to them were you? I guess that's what Fred is referring to.
Great composition with all the little details of an English cafe - the stainless steel teaset, the price list up on the wall, the ladies with their coats still on. Great. TFS. Leon

Mark: this is Anglicana (is that a word?) at its finest. These are the daily, almost banal, pictures that capture the habits of being at their truest. Very fine material for TE, really. cheers at the pub, c

Hello Mark,
A shot with good social commentary. You've captured it nicely without intruding, which I believe is essential in recording such human interactions. Regards,

Hello Mark,
I like this shot of the family couple hunched over the table so intent on their conversation. Very good definition and a nice composition. But it's the moment that counts and you have caught it just right.

Hi Mark.
We are close to them and they don't mind. Then the scene is much more natural.
Not only natural. Also is nice scene.
Well done.

Hi Mark,
Nice catch but too bad we don't see the daughter's expression.
